First Fridays in the Garden

Join Children First for a night of art and family fun! This event will be hosted on July 2nd from 5-9:30p in the St. Patrick Education Garden.

This month's featured artist is local photographer, Stephanie Thompson. Stephanie is a photography-based digital artist who lives and works in Wichita, Kansas. Since 2014, Stephanie has artistically portrayed interesting and edgy contrasts of light versus dark, decay versus life, and urban versus rural settings. The majority of these images have been acquired while on backroads travels either in solitude or with the companionship of her husband. The cathartic process of taking these photographs has been an adventure of discovery of not only herself, but also of forgotten/abandoned items that she reinvents into new pieces of art for herself and others to enjoy. While listening to a playlist of music from around the world, Stephanie enjoys stopping frequently along the way to photograph compelling subjects that catch her eye.

In addition to artistic photography, Stephanie also offers portrait sessions for individuals, couples, friends, and families at affordable prices. Stephanie will be offering $20 mini sessions at this event. Pricing is as follows:

15-minute sessions include: - unlimited raw/edited digital photos - your choice of one 5” x 7” or 4” x 6” matte card stock (130#) print - additional prints $5/ea. Prints available for pick-up 1 week after session.
